I wonder if anyone else is having a similar issue, I am having such a problem with Open Reach and BT.
I ordered high speed fibre two months ago and after 4 no shows on booked appointments for installation by open reach the real nightmare began.
Open Reach started to claim that my office unit needed roads dug up and traffic Managment permissions to do the work. But I know this is categorically not true and have been fighting this issue ever since.
I have stood and watched open reach install fibre next door door to me (and when I say next door I mean the business in the room next to me - I can touch the paper thin wall that separates us from my desk) I have been told by the engineer installing there 3 weeks ago that all I need to do is give open reach (via BT as I can’t call them) the cbt box number that is on the building about two metres from my door and then they will realise their mistake and know that no traffic/road closures are needed.
But that was still not enough, open reach have ignored the information relayed to them by BT and BT are no help at all except for telling me they can’t do anything!
I have the reference number of the work, proving that the entire business centre I work at has fibre including next door. I have pictures of the cbt box and it’s number and I also have copies of the plans for the completed works that proved the work has been done. And I watched another office install opposite me yesterday. Yet I am two months in with no fibre and totally unable to use my office space as there is no phone reception either.
Has anyone had an issue like this?? Open reach are insisting they need to wait for traffic Managment and that they need to dig up a road to get me installed….but everyone else on the premises has fibre??!!! Can anyone offer any help? Has anyone had this happen??? It’s a nightmare and costing my business dearly.
Openreach is a separate company from BT and BT have no control over them.
If you are a business you will need to post on the BT Business forum. This is the BT residential forum.

I doubt anyone from Openreach is actually saying roads need digging up, etc. For a start as you said, no one has been out as yet.
Sounds more like a NAD Key issue and or possibly your address not being either on Openreaches and or the Post Offices System.
In which case when an order is placed and no address for it is matched you’ll get a load of automated notes returned from Openreach to the CP which states to provide Line Plant to said unknown address MAY incur Network Construction, i.e. Roadworks, laying duct, etc.
Also as it’s a Business you really need to post/ask this on the BT Business Site as BT Consumer and BT Business are run as two separate Businesses within the BT Group plc.
