Hi John, yes I have contacted the wayleaves department and they are looking into it. Openreach still wants £200 quid to come out and look though.

For the cables on the wall you could simply report this as damage, an Openreach Tech would come out and make them safe, providing they actually are the property of the BT Group plc.....

Ref to the foot way boxes..... Chances are there was a way-leave agreed with a previous owner but the information, contracts, or whatever were never passed on to the new home owner in the sale.....

If there is a way-leave on them you would have to pay for them to be removed regardless of you not being the person who agreed to it!

Openreach would happily go down the legal route, I've seen it before.......
