Openreach do not have my correct post code cannot upgrade to infinity

Can anyone here help. I'm desperate!!!! Openreach has the wrong post code for my number and BT seems unable to get them to change it. This has gone on for years and I must have wasted hours talking to BT, who keep assuring me, 'yes this will be sorted out within 24 hours', and it never is. This is well beyond a joke now. I want to upgrade to fibre but Openreach keep rejecting the order because the post code and phone number don't match! Open reach sat that my telephone  number is not a BT line and is registered to nap their adress in my village

BT's database is fine. I get my bills etc. correctly addressed.

I have lived at my current address for 4 years and a BT telephone line has been in existence for 17 years 

Currently my line is perfectly operating and broadband is working but at slow speeed

All my neighbours have been upgraded. There must be solution!!

I'm sorry you're having problems with the post code records. Does the information match on the Royal Mail site?

Welcome to this user forum.

 

If you have a BT Retail phone number.

 

In order to find out what services and speed range you should be getting, please enter your phone number into this form.
Broadband availability checker


Please remember to edit out your phone number before you post the results.

That information should show what cabinet you are connected to. Any postcode error should not matter, as its the phone number that is important.

Hi David thanks for the quick reply

Yes my postal address is correct on the Royal Mail site and this was a question powed durging one of my very many calls to BT

Interetsingly I do not receive mailed bills to my address  because I have opted for online billing

However the billing address is correct with BT and also my last router was delivered to the correct address but as mentioned Openreach seem unable to accept this or to upgrade my line to infinity

All very weird!!

I had already done that and the checker accepts that my infinity link is available from the local cabinet but Openreach still do not accept the order and say the POostcode is incorrect
