Order Confirmation Email

Go to solution

Yesterday I contacted BT to change my broadband from option1 to unlimited.

I have Broadband option 1, Evening & Weekend Calls and Anytime Calls add on

I thought this would be simple but I was told I have to have a new contract.

This is for Broadband Unlimited, Weekend Calls and Anytime Calls add on.

I was told I would be sent a confirmation email.

I have not yet received this.

On MyBT I can see my order but the system is unable to show the Anytime add on and advises checking the email.

How long should it take to receive the email?

Re: Order Confirmation Email

I had exactly the same when I recontracted earlier this year, and a subsequent promise to resend the message also didn't materialise. A day or two later I got the details by post. It emerged that my long-forgotten preference was for post, and it appears that BT staff don't always check, automatically saying that you'll get an email. So it's possible that you'll shortly get the details through your letterbox.

If it does turn out that you have the postal preference you can ask BT to change it to email; you can't have both. I changed mine and got immediate confirmation of two subsequent changes to my package.
