We had our BT Infinity installed a few weeks ago. We left the guy to install it as we were busy in the house. All he asked us was if he could drill two holes. No problem. We are decoratiing and only last night we noticed he had installed the phone point and the ethernet hub inside a wooden cabinet. The cabinet now needs to be dismantled as we are decorating and replacing it. BT want to charge us £130 for this. This seems grossly unfair as if he had asked where we want to boxes, we would have said the wall.
Any thoughts, tips?
If you unscrew the faceplate of the phone socket you will see a couple of screws inside which will be holding it onto the cabinet.
