Hi,
Until recently, Outlook for Android was a working client.
Then suddenly, when trying to send or reply to an email, the following error happens:
"error adding recipient to message"
Tried:
1) reset app
2) remove and reinstalled app
3) full factory reset of phone
4) IMAP and SMTP settings are correct
Also:
5) Outlook client works fine on Windows 10.
6) GMAIL for Android works fine (i do not want to use GMAIL)
7) no issues with username or password.
😎 new BT Mail app not compatible (presume due to yahoo mail).
thanks,Richard
If Gmail works fine, the problem is clearly with Outlook.
Try Blue Mail
If your mail works fine with multiple other apps, where do you think the problem must lie if not with Outlook?
Has there been a recent update to Outlook?
Hi I have been having the exact same problem which started 5 days ago. I messaged microsoft and they said they are aware of this issue and will fix in the next version with no approx date. I tried removing and reinstalling and it still doesn't work. All works fine from my husbands email account, the problem is just with mins.
Hi, I have had this problem for several months now, have tried de-install/re-install etc, nothing works. At a loss...don't want to use another email.
Not sure what you mean by not wanting to use another email. No need to change email address just use a different app.
Sorry, should've said that I like Outlook...old fashioned I guess!
Same Issue with wife's phone. not mine ( we both have same phone Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G. The only thing different I can see is that an update occurred for the phone this morning. and the Email was working fine yesterday. I'm sure that something in the update happened. ~ logically.. my 3 cents
Just a quick note, my phone (working) the app Version 4.2136.1 (Outlook) and Not working is version 4.2136.2
