Over broadband monthly usage limit but no warnings

My monthly broadband usage limit is 20GB so I logged into my account today as it shows everything up to the 31st May.

It seems I've exceeded my limit by 1.94GB and will be charged £5.30 for every 5GB over.

However, it states that BT should e-mail me twice in the month if it looks like I might exceed my limit.

I have received NO e-mails to this effect, therefore surely BT cannot charge me £5.30 extra?!

If anyone has had similar issues please let me know if the extra charge stands or not.

Thanks.
