Over broadband usage whilst on holiday

I had an email on the 24th August informing me I had used 40GB of my 45GB allowance. That was fine I thought as I was going on hoiliday early on the 25th and not getting back until the 7th September. Today however I've had an email to inform me that I had exceeded my allowance by 14GB and will be charged £25.20. As I'm the only person that lives in my property how can I possibly use that amount when I wasn't even in the country.

Please can you investigate how this could be the case as I can't have used that much extra (even if your reading was probably on the 23rd as it says on the usage monitor, I could in no way have used 14GB in 24hours).

Many thanks

@Louisa78 Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting, if you get in touch with the billing helpdesk they will be able to look into that for you.
