The packet loss at your router could be for many reasons. It could be because the link from your PC is poor (bad wireless connection, etc), or because you have something on your network which is shifting a lot of traffic. Either way, the immediate issue appears to be apparent within your network and therefore BT's network can't be to blame for that.
