Router ip: 86.
Public IP when browsing: 104.

Can you try the same thing (google whats my ip) on your phone/tablet and see what public IP address they give? (Of course, don't use their vpn).

Are you using a standard bt router and nothing special?

No this is isolated to the Win 10 PC

Yes it is a vanilla BT Infinity set up.

Another couple of questions. Do you use more than one browser, and if so, do they show the same? Which browser do you use?

The reason for that is that you can set a web proxy in each browser to achieve what you're seeing. Is that a possibility?

Same behaviour in Chrome, FF & Edge - tend to use Chrome by default

This morning we have a German public IP 209.126.

Turns out a simple reboot of the PC is enough to return to expected behaviour
