Well it has to be the network. My line has been tested to death by Openreach who have found no fault at all.
I've just connected my Asus DSL-N66U with the latest firmware tonight and it's dropping out all the time too. A snippet from the log file at the last IP change it had:-

Would you believe it it just dropped out again trying to post this hence double post!!!
OK I gave up on the DSL-N66U it was dropping out every 15 mins or so with LCP issues. Back on the ECI modem and HH5, let's see how that goes!
So far we have PPP LCP issues for:-
Storm
MarkG33
AJWard
Catcher
1TonyCurrie
Jaseb41
Awahwah
fengul
kendo88
Storm I sent you a pm this morning. And I would like to add the OR modem solution isn't a 100% fix by any means - I can go about 4 days max and get either OpenRG or PPP LCP with my HH4 and OR modem. It must be a network issue we aren't crazy! Lol.
Below is my most recent disconnection. OpenRG and PPP LCP Send Termination Request. Granted mine doesn't happen as frequently as some people's but it's the principle of my service not even staying up for a decent time. Prior to January 2014 my last and longest up time was 70+ days - Unlike now. Its just ironic January 2014 onwards it's been russian roulette, no set up changes etc. So yeah something is odd in BT's world to be fair. I'm getting help from mods but I don't think they know really what is wrong. I'm still happy they're attempting to help.

Back on my ECI modem and HH5, so far no drops in 11 hours!
I should also add that BT still have me on the 40/10 profile after repeated attempts by me to get me back on my usual 80/20 profile. This seems to have nothing to do with SNR levels and has been no better on the lower profile.
I'll keep you all posted.
Interesting It sill has the issue with the asus maybe points to the modem?
My connection has been great with an unlocked modem without bt's software.
It is very strange but BT are remaining very quiet about it all. The DSL-N66U has a built in VDSL modem and is different to the HH5, ECI and Huawei (unlocked) modems, all of which I own and have tried. Make of that what you will.
The annoyance for me was that on the 12th March something (apparently) was done at the exchange and I had a stable connection for some 5 days with the HH5 until the Newcastle Team steam rollered in, put me on a 40/10 profile after repeatedly telling them not too. My telephone line also went down and since I've been stuck on the 40/10 profile and having constant PPP LCP drops.
I'm expecting a telephone call on Monday, if this is not sorted out by then I think 3 months of helping BT and getting treat with contempt in return is enough and I shall more than likely be cancelling my broadband and telephone as I'm out of contract.
