The speed is not the problem - i am uable to use my line for what i bought it for - online gaming. This is due to data loss on the line, all the line tests i have done on other sites say i have anywhere from 10% - 15% packet loss.
does the BTspeedtester site carry out this type of analysis?
Just an update incase others suffer a similar issue - i have spoken with BT for hours on this (they have no idea what packet loss is and just focus on speed and bandwidth), and finally manged to have a BT engineer come round.
He found some errors on the line which he fixed (rusty line and a new socket) and spoke to the BT technical guys for me and they can see that i have an issue on the line, and have done since it was installed.
So i am to monitor the line for a few days and see what issues arise. I will continue to update this post until its fixed 🙂
Still not able to use my line for anything other than web browsing which is very annoing. On all the other sites i use included command Prompt i am experiencing significant packet loss. Will wait for 3 days then speak with the call centre again 😐
This is my 2 day stats and they dont look at all healthy.
forget the call centre as they are not helping you

They normally reply by email or phone directly to you within 3/5 working days they will take personal ownership of your problem until resolved and will keep you informed of progress
They are a UK based BT specialist team who have a good record at getting problems solved
