Hoping for some advice or perspective on possible issue with my broadband connection. Perhaps unrelated, but I recently had a new master socket fitted (NTE5), however the broadband speed in the house is now painfully slow.
Am using BT Home Hub 4, below are the rest results I'm receiving, however I'm curious as to whether 0.25Mbps really is likely to be the maximum achievable speed, as this renders several services almost unusable.
Grateful if anyone feels there is more that could be done.
The only socket connected is for the router/ phone, which is now connected to the test socket (with a microfilter).
Quiet line test: normal
Speed info from the hub manager (normal socket/ test socket)
Download speed (Mbps): 0.17 / 0.24
Upload (Mbps): 0.03 / 0.02
Ping latency (ms): 326.50 / 0.00

We haven't been able to complete the speed test at this time.
This may be due to a problem with the speed tester, or your line may be running very slowly.
can you enter your phone number and post results remember to delete phone number https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html
your connection time is only 12 today was that a manual reset or router dropping conenction? have you been resetting the router or has it been dropping connection or both?
Thanks for your quick response, much appreciated. Further results below - suggesting that faster should be possible?
The connection time from 12 was due to a manual reset, the only time it was reset (WAN logs also noted below).

are you current still in test socket with a new filter? do you use a phone extension cable to reach the test socket?
I think all the attempts to improve your connection and/or router dropping connection have left you in banded profile. this should release automatically give 3+ days stable connection with no resets. if you get 3+ days and no change then repost the last 2 line of adslstats from hub and mods will help get you out banding http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/speed_guide/broadband_terminology.shtml
as you have a HH4 the stats will be the 2 lines you previously posted as there are no adsl stats like previous hubs if there are no drops/resets then it should be the same 2 lines as previously
