Phone connecting to FON not Homehub

I get really frustrated when I move from one room to another in my home, but instead of connecting directly to my Homehub, the phone connects to BTWifi-with-FON. I have read on here that I should simply go into my wireless settings and click on forget network.....yes, this does work, but why should I have to do it....there is no problem with signal strength from the hub, I can be less than 5 metres from it in the same room, and it connects to FON.

The hub is transmitting 2 signals of equal strength, how is BT responsible for which signal your phone chooses to connect to?
