I live 6 miles from our exchange and last week (1st Feb.) our phone went dead. It appears that some but not all ofd my neighbours are also cut off. As we live in the countryside we have limited or (in our case) no mobile phone service. Bt say it is a problem with the exchange and would keep us updated but there have been no updates on the fault page since Thursday 3rd Feb at 10.37 with the estimated repair date Friday 4th Feb at 17.00.....come on BT, where is our update? Really concerned that with no mobile service we are completely cut off if there was an emergency. Not very happy with customer care.
