Re: Pixelation and break-up of internet channels

Hey Scott,

I really don't know, this is not my area of expertise Smiley Embarassed

Perhaps @Steve_M or @Jay_Nix may be able to offer a bit of insight.  Rest assured though, if this problem does return I'd be happy to help.

Cheers

Sean

Hi,

The pixelation issue is back, switched TV on this morning and it's probably worse than it was before!
Breaking up every 20secs!!

Getting absolutely sick of it now!!

Paying for something that doesn't work properly!

Would you mind checking your phone line for noise again, when the picture breaks up?

Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.

Thanks

Will do it when kids come in from school, they watch the Disney channel where we notice the pixelation the most. Will report back when it's done!
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the PM. I have created a case for you and will be in contact. Having had a look at your line, i can definately see packet loss which would explain pixialtion. I will be in contact with you.

Re: Pixelation and break-up of internet channels

Had an Openreach Engineer out this morning. It turns out my incoming line was old multi-core telecom wiring which isn't good for broadband. The engineer installed new single-core wiring and a new outlet box and the pixelation issues we had with the internet channels on BT TV have gone!
Very satisfied with this solution, it took a while but it's worth persisting as we got there in the end!
