PlayStation 4 Wireless Issues - Slow speed - IP Packet Fragmentation

Hello, I'm having major problems with my PS4.

When testing internet connection I'm getting 48kbps down and 129.3 kbps upstream. This is becoming an annoying issue. NAT Type is 2, DMZ is set for PS4, Static IP - have only recently started recieving this issue. I have also noticed an issue arrising when testing the internet connection on the PS4 of which says, "router does not support ip packet fragmentation and some network features are restricted" and advising me to contact the router manufacturer. 

Please note when teathering my O2 iphone to my PS4 I get 8mbps down and 4mbps upload - so the PS4 or any sony server is not to blame. I can only assume the router I have (home hub 5) does not work well with the PS4.

I have BT Infinity Unlimited, the fastest package BT do. 

If anyone has had this problem and can shed some light on the above, it would be muchly appreciated.

Thanks John, I've messed about with MTU settings before, which led to no avail.

Hi, no I've never found a way to fix this issue. Think it's probably a router issue rather than BT if you are still running the HH5, try a different router? Don't quote me on that though.

No IP Pack Fragmentation  has got to do with something from BT's side of things they have to do something from there side to fix this issue

Hi all, just an update on the fix. Ditch the homehub, connect via Ethernet using 'powerline' adapter about £20 from pc world. I'm now getting 67mb down and 18mb upstream. Huge difference as supposed to the 226kbps. Well worth the money.

Obviously, buy another router.
