Hi,
I'm having problems with my BT HomeHub seemingly not following the port forwarding rules.
I'm trying to use RDP to connect to my homeserver remotely.
I've changed to BT since this was working last, I was with Virgin Media and then I moved house where they aren't supported. So my network setup is the same, the settings on my server are the same. The router is now a BT HomeHub and my ISP is now BT.
I've tried configuring the port forwarding rules on my BT HomeHub:
I can connect to the server internally using it's static IP, I just can't connect externally.
Any help would be appreciated.

You would not be able to access it externally from within you own network, as the home hubs do not support NAT Loopback.
Have you tried it from a separate network, or uses a website like Canyouseeme, to see if the port is showing open?
All the home hubs have some issues with port forwarding, so a third party router might be advised

My bad, I should've tried this from my office. Never even thought about loopback being an issue.
Thank you for your time.
You could always try it from a tethered mobile network.
Problem sorted
Just a note that the HH6 (Smart Hub) seems to support NAT Loopback. I can connect to my home VPN server via the external address whilst connected to the Hub's WiFi. I never used to be able to on the HH5.
Useful as I use Always-On VPN and it was a pain to have to turn it off when I got home.
im having issues with the same thing it isnt following the rules, and the website is saying they are still closed i cant work it out at all
