I have been through the process of port forwarding multiple times while trying to open a port for a minecraft server, but when I check to see if the port is open using a port checker tool I am told it is closed.
I am using a HomeHub 2.0, on firmware 18.104.22.168.83.3.18 (Type B).
Any help would be greatly apreciated.
This is an ongoing problem. I am also trying to get my Minecraft server going (25565), but the past month I have been unable to. People are trying to get this issue as much coverage as possible, so keep posting the issue and get some mods noticing it!!
I was asked by my son to help him on this problem.
The problem seems to lie deeper than the home hub.
I'm on infinity so have a seperate modem and HH3.
The server ran fine within the network but nobody could join from outside.
After the usual port forwarding in the HH3 didn't work I plugged in a Buffalo router.
The port was checked with whatsmyip port scanner, which showed it open when allowed through my software firewall.
The same problem, no connection from outside the network.
We set up the VPN LogMeIn (Hamachi) and connections were allowed into the network and onto the server.
I haven't plugged the HH3 back in for testing with hamachi, as my son won't let me as the server works
Hopefully it would work.
