Porting number delayed

My number was supposed to port over to BT yesterday. My old sim card stopped working yesterday but my number still hasn't transferred. I've just enquired on the online chat and told that it won't happen until Friday, the operator then cut me off before I could reply!

5 days without my number and I can't use the phone. All I get is "Sorry the system is busy" when I try to call.

Same for my wife's sim too.

Sorry to hear your numbers didn't port, when you look at your order tracking does it show as still open or completed?

It looks like they may have created a bridge case which is why you can’t see what’s happening. You can either call 150 and find out what’s happened or wait. If a bridge case has been raised it can take “upto” five days as they work on them in order.

Do you not have access to another phone?

You could also try online chat, however if a bridge case has been raised as frustrating as it is, it will be a case of waiting until the provision your sim.
