Hi @chamsters
Thanks for the information, we've not seen this happen before. Is this happening when accessing it via the IP address as well or just via a hostname?
How is the hostname of your HTTP server managed? Do you have a local DNS server running on your network to solve this?
RE: Device list, this will be because the original MAC address of all clients will now be seen by the router so it could show an entry for the old router mode and the correct entry for bridge mode. Rebooting or resetting the router will clear this for bridge mode operation.
Thanks,
Dan-O
Got it all working. Basically had to turn off the hubs, reset my router (it really did a number), reassign routes, confirm it all worked ok, then set up the BT discs - with the upgrade.
Everything now works... for now 🙂
Changes I'm observing:
* Network topology is identical. Speed when connected to router = 385mbit down, previous speed from disc = 360mbit. Current speed with new firmware = 238mbit. Can never guess what the variability is around - but speed and signal is good so I'll try not to stress out too much just yet.
* Slight improvements in ping time, but still considerable. Connected to router wifi = 2-3ms tops. Connected through bt disc (Secondary one) = 5-11ms.
* gateway + dns of all nodes now showing ip of the main router
* Seeing a whole bunch of random unnamed and unidentifiable devices in my device list. These show as wired (i only have 2 known wired devices, both show in the list). They have either no IP or an IP in the 192.168.9.x range when rest of network is on 192.168.1.x. So, that's odd.
This is after about 3 hours stabilisation. I'll probably start getting a bit more bothered about the pings + speed drop once the basics are working reliably and consistently.
I’ve updated selected to be early adopter and still having to restart and reconnect every day..
this morning on primary disc on blue..
restarted again all blue.. then this afternoon all discs apart from primary saying red on the app (show blue on discs themselves)
@nchaundy Is your main Disc connected directly into your router (not hub) and disc 2 and 3 connected wirelessly?
Main disc is wired into the BT HUB6
and yes other 3 discs connected wirelessly..
Hi nchaundy,
After selecting to be an Early Adopter were you able to download and install the firmware update successfully? Does the app show that you currently have firmware version SGAB204002 on your discs?
Every 4 or 5 days the internal Web GUI crashes on this firmware for me. This also restricts the app from accessing the system and I need to then complete a full physical system reboot.
Hi Yes,
installed firmware eventually..
had issue with one disc and had to do a d’s Tory reset..
eventually got it working.. but having numerous issues everyday with discs dropping off, showing red on app, or flashing red/blue..
A 3 pack plus 1 add on..
