Re: Price increase December 2014 personal e-mails

ernie_C , thanks for the heads up that the e-mails are on the way to customers.

I will keep scanning my mailbox over the next week for this and if I don't see

anything will call BT to check on progress.

Once again thanks for providing all the detail on this.

Re: Price Rise and Cancellation query

received my bill today, together with a link on the additional information page saying "important pricing update".  When I click it however, it comes up with this link:

http://btsupport.custhelp.com/app/answers/blank/a_id/13083

The box said 'Requires Windows XP or better'. So I installed LINUX..

Re: Price Rise and Cancellation query

Rang them on 0800 328 6738 just now, asked for my MAC to leave penalty free, because of the price increases....guy said no problem, just asked where i was moving to and why, told them, then all done, 5 working days for the email confirmation of the MAC and account colsure, so expecting it end of the week

The box said 'Requires Windows XP or better'. So I installed LINUX..

Re: Price Rise and Cancellation query

I called that number on September 10 and had a similar conversation . Called today as I had an additional query and there were no notes on BT's system to suggest that such a dialogue had taken place.

After another protracted conversation I have been assured that I will be able to move to a new ISP without penalty.

For the sake of good order I have written to the Durham address and the registered office address to confirm the content of my conversations.

Re: Price Rise and Cancellation query

Email confirmation, 15th Oct is the 30 day notice:

Thank you for your email to us here at BT.

I'm sorry your thinking of leave us due to the price increases. I have checked and I can see you have the option to leave us up until 15/10/ 2014 without being held to term for your package agreed.

If there’s anything else you’d like to know please try our help pages online at www.bt.com/help . You can also see the various ways you can contact us if you do need further assistance.

Best Wishes
