Hi
Just heads up guys check your emails for price increase. Had email calling plan increase 4.50 a month.
There are numerous posts about this already and even article in ISP REVIEW
Yes just seen this.
Clicked on the link to see the option on call plans and seems the 700 minutes anytime seems better BUT it states this is for any landline number or mobile but it is unclear whether this includes 0845/0870 numbers. I suspect not which would make a big difference.
Entered details to get a phone back from BT to see what happens.
This may help
Thanks for that link. Seems to indicate that the 0845/0870 numbers are included in the 700 minute plan.
When BT contact me I would hope that they confirm that this is definitely the case.
Not that I'm distrustful of BT of course particularly since I'm out of contract.
Just as an update. 0845 and 0870 numbers are NOT included in the 700 minute plan.
How did you reach the conclusion that 0870, 0845 numbers are charged for on the 700 minute Plan?
Here you go , quote from email from BT:-
"Your 700 minutes calling plan With this plan, you'll get 700 minutes a month for calls from your landline to UK landlines and UK mobiles .
Calls to service numbers starting with 084, 087, 09 and 118 come with an access charge plus a service charge set by the company you call."
They are -
700 Minutes: 30 day minimum term. 700 inclusive anytime minutes to UK landlines, UK mobiles and 0845 and 0870 numbers excluding the Channel Islands. Maximum of 150 calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers. If you exceed your 700 Minute calling plan allowance two months in a row we’ll move you onto our Unlimited Minutes plan.
Sorry to tell you but that is the old plan. The quote that I provided came from BT at 1642 today.
If you really do not believe me then I give up.
