Primary BT ID problems

I changed my primary Bt ID to my current email address but on the page where it asks me to confirm there is an error.
I have spoken to chat on 2 separate occasions and have been told there is a problem with my account and that the problem has been escalated and will get a call back. I haven't received a call back so wondered if anyone else has had the same issue
