Problem with IMAP

Since 6.00 am this morning I have been unable to access email via IMAP. Web mail appears fine. Here are the error messages I get via Outlook

 


Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for IMAP btinternet.com.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for IMAP btinternet.com. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Pleased to say, I am now able to connect to email via IMAP.

I think perhaps I should have noted I did absolutely nothing to effect this change. I was confident the problem rested with BT, so  I left them to get on with sorting it out.
