Problem with giving an Email address to family member

Firstly big thanks to the Mods for the rapid response and fix to my last email snag.

New problem.

I now have 5 email addresses listed in my account so far, this is correct. Mine is the account holder and is the Favourite address.

One on the others is a matching address for my wife. I wanted to give this on the friend and family option so she would have her own space. When I enter her name the option list appears to select an address from my list, but only 4 of the 5 are listed and hers is the one thats missing.

Your wonderful help would be again, gratefully received.

Paul

Re: Problem with giving an Email address to family member

You need to log onto your MyBT then go to Manage Your Extras then scroll down to Manage BTMail. Click on that and it should bring up all the BTMail accounts that you have.

Your wife's email address should be listed there. It will show whether or not the email address has already been gifted.

If it has not been gifted you then click on the Give Email address and follow the prompts.

Your wife then has to accept the gifted email and set up her own BTID in order to manage the email account.

You will cease being able to access or manage the account but you will still be able to delete it.

Re: Problem with giving an Email address to family member

Thanks for your reply, but no help i'm afraid. Perhaps I didn't make myself clear in the original plea for help.

I have followed your instructions precisely, many times. When I click on Manage BTMail, all my addresses, including the wife's are shown. None of the addresses are gifted. I then proceed to give her address to her. At this point you have the option to give an address you have already created or create a new one. Those already created are listed, except my list only shows 4 out of 5 addresses already created and the one that is missing is hers so I am unable to proceed.

Re: Problem with giving an Email address to family member

I have notified the moderators of the forum about your problem. Once they have read this they may be able to help. They are a BT UK based team and if they can help they will reply via this thread asking you to contact them via a link. They are very busy at present so once you have replied to them by the link, it can take 48 hours for them to re-contact you.
