Hi NeilO, please see my earlier post on page 9, it is affecting people trying to email, that we cannot fix:
Hi all,
I work for a company who regularly email customers, for the past week or so, all emails to BT Internet and Yahoo email address are not getting through and after a delay of a day or two we get a bounceback email with the message:
Delivery to the following recipients failed permanently:
* .......@btinternet.com
Reason: There was an error while attempting to deliver your message with [Subject: "xxxxxxxxxxxx"] to xxxxxx@btinternet.com. It has been in queue too long, and will not attempt delivery again.
This is happening on all BTInternet and Yahoo email addressess and our customers do not seem to be aware. Can a BT techie raise this please, there is a problem emailing your customers.
Many thanks.
@JoJo0503 can you advise who administers your domain?
The prevailing theme on this thread is that the domains affected have 123 Reg as the registrar.
@jingars Hi, we are with Heart Internet, it is affecting all of us, just for Yahoo and BT Internet, no other email addressess and has only started recently, never had problems before.
Thanks
Hi @JoJo0503 I've started you're own thread as the problem you've described is not related to the problems experienced by BT customers using the 123-reg domain. I'm sorry to see you're having difficulties sending email to BT customers.
You'll need to ensure you're following the best practices for postmasters as explained on this link. If you are following that guidance and still having issues you'll need to raise a case by emailing the BT postmaster postmaster@btinternet.com and they'll be happy to help.
Thanks
Neil
It is the same error message but from the sender’s perspective rather than the addressee.
