Programmes often do not stream and therefore stutter or restart...

We have one of the new YouView boxes and for the last couple of months we often find that the programme / film we are trying to watch freezes and 4 little dots appear on the screen as though it is trying to stream.  SOmetimes it just goes back to the front screen that gives a synopsis of the programme / film we are trying to watch.

 

We are trying to avoid calling BT support as we have been with BT a couple of years and working with their support team has been the most painful and pointless experience - when we moved not only were people constantly saying they'd call us back and then not doing it but we were overcharged and went a really long time with no service - the only way we got any help was by writing to Warren Buckley - overall an exhausting experience so we'd like to try and resolve this ourselves or just cancel the subscription, preferably the former - has anyone any advice please?

Hi, How is your youview box connected to your router? If it's power line adapters have you tried a direct ethernet cable? What broadband speed do you have?

What speed are you getting, are you on ADSL or Fibre...
