I just moved and switched to BT, I've set up the hub, and I've checked and double checked the wires and everything that needs to be right, but it's always either flashing purple, or flashing orange, and when I go through the help section it resets then tells me to check a separate box which I don't have, don't know if I've been sent the wrong things or if there's something wrong with it all in general. It's been plugged in a couple of days and my activation day was yesterday so it should have been working already.
Welcome to this user forum.
What broadband package did you order?
Do you have a master phone socket which looks like one of these?
If you do, then can you please plug a phone into the phone socket to see if you get dial tone?
If you do not get dial tone, then you will not get broadband.
Are you in a new build property?
I have the fibre 2 package, and my master socket is the same as number 7.
I have plugged in my old Landline (as I am waiting for the hub to start for the digital voice phone) and there is no dial tone and I cannot ring anyone.
I am technically in a new build, the building is around 10 years old.
Does your hub have a red WAN port on the back?
No it doesn't
I have DV and there is no dial tone at phone outlet master socket

So you actually have an FTTP connection with an Openreach optical unit in the house, as that is the only service that uses BT Digital Voice?
If that is the case, then the home hub would connect to that modem via a red WAN connection, and if that is not present, then you have been sent the wrong home hub.
