the low profile is due to all the resets/disconnections which has also caused your noise margin to be high compared to normal of about 6. as you say if you can maintain your connection 24/7 for 3/5 days maybe sooner then profile should rise automatcally. if your router shows 3+ days internet connected and profile stll 135 then contact mods as possibly stuck.
you need to find reason for high noise margin as that will help increase speed if can get it down to about 6.
the hole is normally on the front of the cd drive to the front cover not on the tray - very small and need paperclip of the like. it is always possible youre does not have the hole.
