Re: Anonymous call rejection or Choose to Refuse service

Yes, a BT salesperson just tried to sell me Anonymous Call Reject but didn't realise there are a whole set of different types of calls it won't stop, such as

  • Some non-compatible exchange types (UXD5)
  • Another network provider. For example, Mercury and some mobile networks
  • A caller using a Chargecard
  • Calls where the message "Payphone", "International", or "Operator" is delivered

I seemed to know more about it than he did. He then tried to sell me Choose to refuse, even though I told him several times that the nuisance calls are coming from outside the country and the numbers are never known on 1471. Useless sales service, frankly.
