Re: BT Broadband settings for 3rd party router?

Has BT recently begun blocking 3Rd party routers? Yesterday my fritz box lost the connection. It will now not get an ip address.
It connects, sync 15000/2000 as usual. Then drops again.

Its works flawless for the past 4 years.
Connect the hub 5 and it works fine.

Checked all settings ony fritz still there
1/32 with VLaN of 101.
Usrrname etc all set.

Connect my fritz as a slave to the hub, it gets an address just fine.

Fritz are one of the approved vendors as far as I know.

Re: BT Broadband settings for 3rd party router?

Hi,

You could try getting a compliant modem to go with the Fritz.  I use a DrayTek Vigor 130 with my FritzBox 3390 and it works flawlessly.  Been using the DrayTek since November last year.

@licquorice

Only the 3490 is approved so far.  Zen used them, at least for a while.
