Re: BT Infinity 2 Connection dropping every few minutes this evening

I have a HH5.......(fitted a few months ago)......NEVER a problem.........upgraded my MAC to Yosemite yesterday and since then the WIRELESS CONNECTION keeps dropping out.......never did it before. I have resorted to using BT FON ( NO Dropouts experienced ) to keep a connection. I am on Infinity1

This is getting extremely annoying now. I have now lost connection 4 times this morning, mainly in the last hour.

I'm still waiting a call back from Customer Services as well, after they said they'd escalate and ring over the next 48 hours.

Looking at a few of the threads posted here over the past day, it appears the problem is not just with me...

Hi,

I have the same issue with iOS8 on my iPad mini.

I've tried splitting the wireless into one for 2.4ghz and another for 5ghz but the problem is still there. What's annoying is it was fine on iOS7

Do a search of the Internet and you will find there are a few sites about poor wireless connections with iOS8. Some of the suggested fixes are

 

Disable Wi-Fi Networking Services 

Try disabling Wi-Fi Networking under Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services. This only relates to your location being used for Wi-Fi Networking, so it doesn’t disable Wi-Fi entirely.

 

Reset Network Settings

Most networking related issues are fixed after resetting network settings. Resetting these settings flushes caches and clears DHCP settings and other networking related info. To reset network settings, open the Settings app and navigate to Settings > General > Reset and tap on Reset Network Settings.

only got to look at Apple Support communities - IOS8 WiFi problems to see the extent of the issue
