I am just so angry with BT after considerably upping their monthly charge for their new "HALO" service. There was no indication of this big increase when they offered the new service. I'm told my new monthly fee is now some £24 more per month than what I was paying up till now.
This is totally unacceptable and I've contacted their accounts dept. to say so, especially as I am having difficulty with accessing my email under the "HALO" upgrade, which I never had before.
If they don't bring down this charge.....I'm off to another provider.

Sorry but there's no way there was no indication of the price when it was offered. You'd have either had the price stated online or clearly mentioned if the order was placed over the phone. If it's still within the initial 14 days you will have the right to cancel the upgrade as well of course
As Halo is an add on just cancel it and stick with your basic package with broadband and landline and reduce the cost
Thanks for reply re. my upgrade to HALO......I had a long conversation with someone from their Ireland call centre (a big improvement on the Indian one). I was able to get my monthly charge back down to its original and cancel the HALO upgrade.
During the helpful conversation it transpired that the HALO upgrade was of little use to me anyway, since in my area, the prevailing connection could not handle the faster speed available with this package. Pity BT couldn't have made that clear in the first place!
