I saw the Engineer at the cabinet earlier today! Unfortunately i still can not change to fiber 😞 Atleast Bt's website's is not allowing me the option for fiber yet, Not is the "fiber checker". I did recieve a letter not long after the Engineer left stating Fiber was available! I guess its a waiting game for the website to allow me to change! 

 

How are them speeds Moley? 🙂

BT still telling me Fiber is not available in this area. I now have a problem with my phone line they think, and are sending me and Engineer on Monday to "fix" my problem. Is their anything i can do to fix this so i don't get charged over £100? Sick of waiting around!

If they've identified a line problem there shouldn't be a charge if it is outside your property. i.e. before the master socket.r

Check for dial tone at the test socket.

Yes i have checked this 🙂 I do indeed have a dial tone.

Then what is the problem with your phone?

 

If its working at the test socket, and nowhere else, then the problem is in your house, and you will be charged.

My phone line is working fine, always has been, I did not tell them i had a fault, they told me i did.

If your phone and broaband are working fine, then why did you contact BT?

I contacted BT to question why i could not get Fiber, as people connected to the same exchange/cabinet have been upgraded almost instantly. They told me that the problem lies with my phone line.

That would have nothing to do with fibre availability.
