I have just come across this thread and wonder if I can tag on to it. The reported problem is exactly the one I have. Caller Display stopped working in January 2018 after I renewed my Line Rental Saver. Probably a coincidence but countless reports to BT have resulted in exactly the same outcomes as above and Caller Display still doesn't work. Am on the point of contacting the ombudsman but the problem would seem so trivial in their eyes I am sure!

What has probably happened, is that Caller Display has been removed from your account when you renewed your line rental saver.
Can you please check to see if Caller Display is switched on by entering the code * # 234 #. If it's active you'll get the message Caller identity will be displayed.
If its not, then it can be added free of change using this link.
BT Privacy and caller display, is near the top of the options on that screen.
Thanks Keith, but as in the previous thread this has been an issue that hasn't gone away despite a number of reports to BT. I have spent what feel like hours on 'Live Chat' messaging and the phone but all that's ever done is the package re-applied and nothing changes! The previous complainant had their problem traced to the exchange and I can only think that could be my problem. I have even bought new equipment and disconnected everything else and still there is no Caller Display.
I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.

@davidchesson I called there but missed you, an engineer has visited the exchange and swapped out faulty equipment that was affecting the caller display service. I wanted to follow up with you to make sure it's working now?
