Re: Can't get a landline connected

I have spent a lopt of time today trying to get through to BT as a (to date otherwise very satisfied landline and broadband) customer who is moving home to a new bulid which needs a connection installing ready for a move.

I had a live chat and they called me so that they could put me through to the correct department. I was on hold for 52 minutes before they cut me off.

I thoiught I would complain in the hope that I could get to speak to someone and am told that the complaint will be answered at soometim in the next 10 days!!

Is there anyway in whcihi I can actually get to speak to someone about this problem.

If you are a BT customer try the BT Options Team 0800.080.030.

Re: Can't get a landline connected

Have the builders done all the duct work, and have Openreach run the cables to your new house? They would normally be visible outside, or connected to a master socket, fitted by the builders.

Unless that has been done, then you are going to wait a long time.

If it has been done, and your house is on the Royal Mail postcode database, then you should be able to do a home move online.
