Are you a BT Broadband customer or paying for your email through a BT Premium email account?
Which email app are you using?
i’m a BT Broadband customer.. the app i am using is Apple’s own ios app. I deleted my account then reinstalled.. but now have lost all the folders i used to have on my phone.. they still exist on the BT server..
Are you saying that after reinstalling the email app that the folders are missing but other than that the app is sending and receiving emails on the iPhone. If that is the case it sounds like you have set the app up as a POP3 account. A POP3 account does not synchronise with the BT servers so it will not show the folders that are on the server.
If you want to be able to access and see the folders that are on the BT servers you would need to set up the email app as an IMAP account and not a POP3 account.
Unfortunately, that’s what i did. 😞

What is "unfortunate", that you set it up as a POP3 account or its "unfortunate" that it is set it up as an IMAP account and you can not access it and therefore it is not sending/receiving.
i hear you.. but it’s set up as IMAP.. it’s been working fine for @ 5yrs.. then all of a sudden stopped working around a month ago.. ty to this forum for trying to help.. agreed, this whole situation is unfortunate 😞
Same, worked fine for years, then suddenly stopped. I wouldn’t know how to setup as imap or pop3
Since BT email was launched I’ve lost the “syncing” of emails between my laptop and iPhone 11. Also all of the email folders have disappeared on my iPhone. I keep hearing change to Pop3 but I don’t know how to do this on MS365 and forum suggests it doesn’t work anyway. Can someone put me right before I am forced to leave BT please !!!
For all devices to be in sync, they all need to be configured as IMAP, NOT POP3.
are the settings to use.
Note that you cannot change from POP3 to IMAP on the fly, the account needs to be deleted from the device and re-added.
