Same with me BT cut my phone line off on the 18th August been trying to get them to rectify their error, my god what a nightmare, all stems from switching from unlimited broadband package over to BT 4g home broadband, instead of just disconnecting my land line broadband they have removed everything.
Lost count of promised call backs that did not happen, told on Wednesday by the loyalty dept nothing they could do?
Placed order for new line and guess what that failed, someone has commented on the complaint that l wanted everything cancelled, NOT TRUE, now they won't talk to me just say issue has been escalated to manager status, this is the guy who has twice failed a promised call back.
Utter shambles, shame on you BT

Had a message on my mobile from BT last night around 22:00 to say sorry for the trouble I have been through and that they have fixed the landline. Whether it is coincidence or the fact that I raised this on BT Community site I don't know but I am just grateful that I can get on with my life now.
Good to hear that you are all sorted, l have been contacted by BT someone is trying to help, l think this Forum can help, for me time will tell how effective this turns out to be.
Well yet another callback that did not happen 4 now.
I absolutely give up with BT they do not have any Customer Care at all.
Next issue l guarantee will be the next bill l recieve there will be a fee for cancelling contract before the end date when it was BT that disconnected my landline, without my consent, how hard is it to change Broadband from landline to 4g.
Answer is : Absolutely impossible, without major issues, my advice MOVE SUPPLIER

Have received notification of new land line contract thank you, have noticed the phone number on the contract is not our original number, new contract number ends 766 our original number ended 566, is this a typo error or have you not been able to give us our old number back, this will cause me problems contacting all my friends family and business contacts to adjust their records.
