Re: Line Installation at New Build Property

Four new build flats , Now going around the curcuit of BT and Open reach. Registered the build but after rerstring an E mail saying the application cant be compleated as i have to register the site. The person gave me a number and of course i rang the numberr and picked out the extension s suggested . Got a ver disintrested person (male) who suggested i register the site, I pointed out we had all ready done this. He still never seemed to have a clue what to do. I asked him what does he do? He then said i register new sites. I said thats what we are .a new site. He then said did you register the site before you built the properties. I sad no thats why we ended up with you and your department. He the suggested i fill in a form of registration. I said we have done this. The next answer flabbergasted me also. He suggested i send an E mail to the E mail address on the site form. I said we have done that and the E mail answer returned ssent us to your deoartment and you. SILENCE. I by now was getting agitated, so i said thank you for being unhelpfull and lacking any knowlege of your own companies connection routes and put the phone down before i slagged him off.

So i sent anotherE mail to the suggested E mail address giving all the information i thought the **bleep** might need, you know realy complex things ,like the site addres post code and the registration number i had been given by again an E mail. The I waited. Oh goody I thought a reply has come. I stopped smiling when i read their reply " This Site is only for developers who build up to 4000 houses yearly ,please register by form xxxx. What a farce I have got involved with. Do they want any business at all?

So what now? do my tenants use smoke signals or pgions to communicate with the outside world? If a coherant and sensible person employed by BT Open reach or any other intrested person in this realy stupid company can resolve our problem please contact us be E mail to *************. We will be waiting and waiting and waiting. Regards J R Lawrence.  (dont try to phone we aint got one.)

Re: Line Installation at New Build Property

@biglawrence I'm sorry to see you're having difficulties registering your new development.  Regrettably this is not something that the BT Retail community fourm can help you organise as you need to make these arrangements directly with Openreach who operate independently from the rest of BT.  More information can be found on Openreach's New Sites webpage.
