I'm having the same problem for over a week. Been in contact with BT who told me it was a problem with my BT hub. They sent me a new hub but the problem still persists. I think that they have capped the line speed-every time I try to watch a sports channel I lose my broadband connection.
My patience is starting to wear thin and like yourself considering to ask for my bt sports subscription to be terminated.
P.S. I asked BT to tell me what my line speed was-I'm still waiting for them to respond.

@anthonyb359 I'm sorry to see you're having issues with your BT Spot on youview. I've started you're own thread to avoid confusion with the OP's issue. It does sound like your BT Sport problems could be caused by a speed issue. If you run the follow speed test it will tell you your line speed.
Is you youview box connected to your hub using an ethernet cable or powerline adapters?
Is it possible to connect via ethernet to see if that makes a difference? What speed are you getting on that link I posted?
