Re: No Dial tone internally and Engaged tone for someone calling to us!

I'm renting a room in a terraced house, on the 3rd floor. I have my own line, however downstairs there are other phones working. 2/3 days ago I noticed that there is not signal on my line but when I try to call my landline it's busy all the time. I've contacted BT and spoke to a couple of consultants and asked for an engineer to come tomorrow Thursday morning. I've already tested the faulty socket and unscrewed it and plugged in a different phone and it's still the same thing, the busy signal on my line. However, I'm thinking, what else I could do? I'd be grateful for your help.

Make sure everything has been unplugged. Routers. Filters. Sky boxes.

'm renting a room in a terraced house, on the 3rd floor.'

So basically you live in a bed sit?
