I ordered my broadband on the 14/08/19 and it went live on the 29/08/19. When will I have to wait for my free gift email. The employees in the online chat say I am past the cool off period and I am eligible but I still haven't received the email they promised. Thanks in advance.

You should receive it 30 days after your service was activated. In your case it should arrive on about 29th September.

Thanks for your reply, the bt websites states 14 days after installation, is this not the case? BT seem to promise one thing and do another. I have contacted trading standards as this is not what was advertised and to protect myself
Hi @morley107 Thanks for posting, can you post the link to that webpage as I suspect it may be referring to an old gift offer?
The first few gift deals that started back in March this year were issued after 14 days then this changed for subsequent offers to 30 days.
Has anyone actually received their code yet for the August gift?
I was activated on the 23rd August and still no code - flagged with BT but they tell me they've logged a complaint....

Thats exactly what I signed up for and have so far received nothing but false promises. I still havent received the phone call I have been promised everytime I complain. It seems to be a scam to lure you in. There seems to be multiple cases of this online. If I were you I would complain to Trading Standards and the Ombudsman as I have, I can give you their details if needed
