I've had the same problem, my internet has gone from 7Mbps to about 2.5Mbps, I'm using a wireless connection but an engineer has come out and checked al the ADSL filters for interference.
welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods
I have moved your post to start your own subjest so you mat get help from the forum members
in order for the forum members to help please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems). when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post the results .
are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
It's not plugged into the master socket as it's in a rather awkward cupboard but this has been tested before..
The quiet line test seems good as well
post your stats
if not in test socket and you have extension sockets in other rooms then you cannot rule out problems caused by your internal wiring
stats as per my first post enter 192.168.1.254 into browser also run btspeedtester
if there is noise on your line itcould drop anytime and possibly often
can you go back to stats please and 'show detail' and post the rest of the errors
your connection time is only 11hrs is that due to the router dropping connection or manual reset? have you been resetting the router to try and get speed back or has the router been dropping connection or both? currently you are in a banded profile to try and stabilise your connection. If you can maintain connection 24/7 for 3/5 days then you should get releaded from the banding with a reducion in your noise margin and an increase in your connection speed
from your stats you have a lot of errors suggesting a possible problem with line noise.
