I have the same issue - started late yesterday.
I also have this issue, again started pm yesterday.
It is probably a BT server problem which has been going on for some time and the best advice when it happens is to do nothing, especially do not change passwords or delete the account from your phone/device as that can cause more problems than it solves.
The first thing to do when it happens is check to see if you can log on to your email account via a web browser. If you can there is obviously nothing wrong with your password or account hence the advice to do nothing.
You should also check that your devices are using the correct server settings.

Definitely have the correct settings so it isn't that.
Hi, thanks yes I'm aware of a much older ongoing thread about this same issue but I couldn't find it (thought I had replied to it tbh). Can't seem to report email problems via report a fault on the BT site. This issue has been ongoing on and off for months afaik.
Mine has been playing up for a few days now, BT mail server is always having issues, i was told years ago we were coming away from the Yahoo server and going on to a BT server that will be more stable?
There is no point in reporting it as a fault.
BT will reply that if your email is working via webmail then your email is working and that they do not support the use of email clients so can not assist you with any problem that you may be having while using one.
When they say they do not support email clients it means that you can use one if you want but they can not fix or offer any information/help/assistance about them if you have a problem while using one.
I have no doubt what so ever it is a BT server fault and not a client issue but BT will use their get out clause that they are fulfilling their obligation and supplying your email albeit via webmail which is all that they support.
