I have just renewed my BT contract and received a Homehub 5. Everything was fine apart from Skype which I use for work calls throughout the day from home. My previous (older) home hub worked fine also.
My broadband connection is very fast and doesn't seem to have any issues and at first I thought it was just an issue over wifi (I had played with changing channels and even splitting the dual band wi-fi across 2 different SSID's but that didn't help).
Then I plugged a network cable in to the homehub and still, when I make a call to someone my connection keeps dropping.
What is the problem?...
Does your older home hub still work without problems?
Hello,
Did you ever get to the bottom of the issue?

Here are a few hints.
Use an Ethernet cable to connect to your computer that is running Skype.
If you are on option 1 Infinity, then check to see if your IP address is being shared, as that can inpact on Skype performance.
Try using the settings as shown on this page.
