Re: Slow Broadband

Following.

I'm suppose to be have super fast broadband n also been capped to 20mbps when usually average 60. I also constantly time out n disconnect for an average 2-3mins. This has been happening since last night and continued all day.

Sorry for hijacking, just don't see the point in us all posting the same question over and over in different topics.

Re: Slow Broadband

I moved your post to start your own thread   although your problem is similar the cause and solution may be totally different and replies will just cause confusion to the post originator

can you post hub stats  if hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information

check for line noise   dial  17070 option 2  should be silent and best with corded phone

enter phone number and post results  remember delete number but leave exchange and cab   https://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

Re: Slow Broadband

Done the quiet test but I only have a cordless phone n was a little crackley even before the test so hard to judge. I rarely use my landline n it's quite old so probably due to be replaced.

Re: Slow Broadband

your connection speed according to checker was 34mb which is well below expected  the noise on your line is probably the cause as any line noise is bad for your broadband   if the noise is still there using the test socket then you need to report a phone fault NOT a broadband fault   I know difficult to get through to CS but until line fixed your broadband will not improve

a dull hum is often heard with cordless but crackle is problem

Re: Slow Broadband

Thanks for your time mate. Still the same, will proceed with CS now. Tried to use that as a last resort due to the high volumes of calls they are already getting.
