Re: Slow broadband speed think IP profile is stuck

About a month ago (3rd Aug 12) my BT Infinity was "upgraded to go even faster" - however i have not noticed any increase in speed. The current IP Profile is set to 31.82 Mbps - the speedtester reports around 29 Mbps max. Is this to be expected on an upgraded BT infinity service or is there an issue? The reason I suspect a potential problem is that i was away during the upgrade for 3 weeks and the Hub was turned off at the mains.

Download speed achieved during the test was - 29.71 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 12 Mbps-31.82 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 31.82 Mbps

thanks

Re: Slow broadband speed think IP profile is stuck

ok... the "new speed test beta" at http://www.speedtester.bt.com/beta/speedtest-remote.jsp reports the following right now:

Download speed 31.08

upload 9.33

ping latency 52.75

is this the right tester?

thx

Re: Slow broadband speed think IP profile is stuck

it looks from that you are getting the maximum possible connection speed as the estimate was 39.6 you are actually getting 31.8 there does not appear any thing wrong with your IP Profile
