I have just bought a 3 disc Whole Home Wi-fi kit. I have followed the instructions to set up the first disc. After scanning the QR code I get a message saying you are now connected to the whole home network you can disconnected blah blah, with an Ok button to press. Once I press this it seems to go back to into the search cycle then says Unable to Detect disc try again? I have done so.
I have now searched all the troubleshooting on here
Turned it all off and restarted
Updated the firmware
Deleted the app, turned off the phone, started from scratch, tried a different disc, same message each time
Please advise as right now £180 kit that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do
Welcome to this user forum.
Have you read this https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Devices/Problem-with-Whole-Home-Wi-Fi-Please-read-this-first/td-p/202...
One disk must always be connected to the router via an Ethernet cable.
Yes I found that article first and have done all those troubleshooting items, and yes obviously I understand the first disc needs to be connected with the Ethernet cable. The Wi-fi is on, and working I’m on it now. It’s the app not picking up the discs so I can’t complete the set up as the first disc connects but when you press ok to the message saying ‘you are now connected to the whole home Wi-fi’ the app then says unable to detect disc so I can’t complete the set up on the phone.
Hopefully one of the BT Device Experts will visit this thread to offer advice.
