Really Slow Broadband Speed

Go to solution

My broadband speed was fine until yesterday when I got home at 1 and I went to load a page and it was really slow.

My HomeHub is connect to the master socket so it can't be the internal wiring.

I've done a fault test online and it passed.

Thanks in advance 🙂

Here is the speed test result and ADSL settings from my HomeHub:

Re: Really Slow Broadband Speed

connecting to the master socket does not eliminate any problems caused by your internal wiring only connecting to the test socket does that - or a filtered faceplate.

your router stats and the btspeedtester have different connection speed suggesting they were not both run at the same time

your conenction time is only 21hrs so there has been a reset or drop in conenction and possibly more that 1.  this at one point had dropped your conenction speed very low resulting in your profile dropping to 0.14 which is the reason for slow download.

you now need to stay conencted 24/7 for 3/5 days maybe sooner and your profile should automatically return to normal

Re: Really Slow Broadband Speed

Thanks for the quick answer, The Homehub is connected through a faceplate filter which filters off the broadband and phone line.

I did the btspeedtester and router stats at the same time, no idea why they are different.

My connection time is 21 hours because I restarted my Homehub in the faint hope it would improve my connection speed.

I'll leave it on like normal and hope for the best, Last time I had the same issue it took 3 months to fix.

Bt Wholesale had to do something, don't know why it took them so long

if you get 3+ days stable connection shown on the hub and profile still low then come back and post your stats again and then mods will be able to help
